15th Annual International Radon Symposium

From September 25 to 28, 2005 RadonAway's President Alan Zucchino, Executive Vice President David Kapturowski, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing David Hill participated in the 15th Annual International Radon Symposium at the Shelter Pointe Hotel and Marina in San Diego, California. The event, presented by the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST), was held in cooperation with the 15th National Radon Meeting sponsored by the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD).

David Hill, who is serving his fifth and final year as President of AARST, joined CRCPD's Adrian Howe in welcoming both groups to a joint session. Speakers at the event included Elizabeth Cotsworth, Director of EPA's Office of Radiation and Indoor Air; Tom Kelly, EPA's Director of Indoor Environments Division; and many distinguished technical experts, educators, researchers and scientists.

David Kapturowski, an AARST Board member and New England Chapter President, taught a workshop called "Dave's Corner Live," based on his popular column in the RadonAway newsletter Radon Today.

On the second night of the conference, RadonAway and AccuStar Labs co-hosted a Customer Appreciation Party on the Shelter Pointe's Marina View Terrace. About 60 invited guests enjoyed the superb Southern California weather and the spectacular setting along with a bountiful buffet supper.

In the Symposium exhibit hall, RadonAway unveiled the company's new Americana-themed display. A mailbox attached to the exhibit booth's white picket fence overflowed with commemorative "stars and stripes" bracelets. Visitors were invited to help themselves to the bracelets, which represented a donation the company made to AmeriCare's Hurricane Relief Fund.
